Brand Identity
A Modern Identity for Verisk Analytics's Internet of Things and Telematics Team.

Design Ethos
Verisk Analytics is one of the largest property and claims analytics companies in the United States. Headquartered in Jersey City, the company has always embraced the newest technologies and innovations. IoT (internet of things) is expected to be the next major field for data companies, and Verisk has opened a business unit to develop solutions in this field. I was asked to create a brand scheme for the business unit that incorporated this new field with the current Verisk logo and typeface. With this in mind, I began to mentally visualize what IoT would look like as a graphic identity. Over several days, I came up with a general idea: a central hub linking various periphery and secondary components together. Over time, this morphed into the icon seen in this identity. The end brand identity is not only highly representative of Verisk and its brand values, but it powerfully visualizes this new business unit and its purpose of linking the world of IoT together.
